Sandusky, Ottawa counties receive state EPA funds COLUMBUS – The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is helping eligible homeowners in 11 northwest Ohio counties repair or replace failing home sewage treatment systems, or HSTS, with principal forgiveness loans to their county commissions or health departments.
The Ottawa County Health Department received $300,000 and the Sandusky County Health Department received $250,000 in principal forgiveness loans from the fund.
Monster Make-Off adds celebrity judge FREMONT – The Monster Make-Off event announced that Jill Burgner has been added as a guest celebrity judge for Sunday’s challenge.

The program is recommended for children ages 9 and up.
Also, Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge educators will present a program at the library July 13 at 1 p.m. All ages are welcome at the event.
