Water main break prompts boil advisory in New Lebanon
DAYTON — UPDATE @ 6 p.m.: Three males are in custody following a suspected aggravated robbery, theft and police pursuit that ended in a crash near Fifth Third Field downtown.
A vehicle was taken at gunpoint in a suspected aggravated robbery Tuesday morning in the city, Dayton police Maj. Wendy Stiver said, relating the preliminary investigation.
A police officer located the second vehicle on Wayne Avenue, where the driver and passenger were taken into custody without incident, Stiver said.
Another police officer located the first vehicle taken.
The driver, who displayed a weapon during the initial robbery, was driving the wrong way on First Street in his attempt to evade pursuing police when the crash occurred.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries, Stiver said.
Police and a medic unit are at East First and Sears streets in downtown Dayton, near Fifth Third Field, for a crash believed to be connected to a reported robbery and chase involving Dayton police.
