The City of Bossier City has issued a boil advisory for a small area of Bossier City.
The advisory is for residents along Central Park Drive between Bonn Street and Rodney Street.
Bossier City maintenance crews will be performing an emergency water main repair Monday, August 13th, 2018.
Work will begin at 4:00 pm and is expected to take four (4) hours to complete.
During this time, residents within this area will have low water pressure.
Officials with Central Park Elementary School have previously been notified and repairs were coordinated to minimize disruption to school activities.
The advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded.
The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption.
Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order.
The BPT will notify when the advisory is rescinded.
