Boil water advisory in place for some Harrisburg residents

by Barbara Miller, originally posted on June 27, 2016

Capital Region Water issued a boil water advisory Sunday to residents of the 1200 block of Walnut Street in Harrisburg.

The advisory was issued after water pressure was reduced while making repairs to a sewer main, said Andrew Bliss, water company spokesman.

Customers in the affected area have been notified door-to-door and are advised to boil their water before using for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation, he said.

Capital Region Water will notify customers when the advisory is lifted.
