MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – The Marietta Water Department has issued a boil advisory for customers on Riverview Drive from Alta Street to Coventry Road because of repairs to a water main.
The advisory affecting about 50 customers will be in effect until further notice.
Once service is restored, anyone in or near the affected area who has experienced a loss of water service or pressure should "rapid boil* their drinking water for two minutes before use.
All customers should also flush their own service lines through the cold water lines only until the water is clear.
Brown or cloudy water are normal after a water-service interruption.
