Due to valve maintenance, the Jasper Municipal Water Department has issued a neighborhood boil order for a small portion of the city of Jasper.

The area affected is on Newton Street from Ninth to 13th Street.

Customers in that area are advised to boil their water for five minutes before use.

Customers and the general public will be notified through the local media when the boil order is lifted.
