Boil Water Advisory: 701 Assembly Street (Coliseum and Training Facility)

COLUMBIA, SC (WLTX) – The City of Columbia has issued a Boil Water Advisory for water customers of 701 Assembly Street (Coliseum and Training Facility), in Richland County.
Officials say the City of Columbia has experienced 6-inch water main break, which could result in bacterial contamination of the water at 701 Assembly Street.
Water customers should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by the City of Columbia Water Works.
Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
Any businesses or residents near the affected area who have lost water and/or water pressure are also advised to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
The City of Columbia says it is working to correct the problem.
