Lexington County, SC (WLTX)- The City of Columbia is urging customers living in the Brittany Subdivision to boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking.

The city had a six inch water main break that is affecting customers in the following areas: Langsdale Road, Doulton Way, and Sharebrook Lane.

Officials also say any ice that was made without boiling should not be used for drinking purposes.

The City of Columbia is working to correct the problem.
