BOMONT, WV (WCHS/WVAH) — The Queen Shoals Public Service District water system in Clay County issued a precautionary boil water advisory Wednesday for a section of its coverage area due to a repair of the distribution system.

The advisory is effective immediately for the Bomont area, according to a news release from the water company.

Testing has not been confirmed, but there is a high probability that the water is contaminated.

Customers are advised not to drink the water without boiling it first for one minute and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing and food preparation until further notice.
