Boil water advisory issued for Pelican Rapids

Pelican Rapids, Minn. (Valley News Live) Hundreds of people in Pelican Rapids are being urged to boil their water before drinking it.
The city says a water main repair caused the water to go out for 500 homes.
These homes are south of 1st Ave. N. The boil water advisory is expected to be in effect for at least two days.
City officials tell Valley News Live the problem isn’t expected to be fixed until Saturday.
Customers should use boiled water that has cooled or bottled water for: drinking, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing food and baby formula, making ice, giving to pets, and any other activity that results in the physical consumption of water.
