Boil water alert issued in Rochester Hills

Residents in northwest Rochester Hills and a small part of southwest Oakland Township are under a boil water alert, the city announced Monday morning.
At about 7:30 a.m., the city of Rochester Hills posted the alert on its Facebook page, saying, “Effective immediately, a water boil alert for the area north of Tienken & west of Livernois.
These precautionary actions are being taken due to the loss of water pressure in the water.” People should boil tap water before drinking it.
It is not yet known how long until this alert will be lifted.
“This boil water notice shall remain in effect until results from the sampling verify the water is safe to drink,” the city said.
“An update will be provided on our communication channels when the boil water advisory has been lifted.” READ ALSO: • Construction: South Boulevard sees work start.
