West Columbia, SC (WLTX) The City of West Columbia has had a water line break and it is affecting customers in the following areas:  the 2400-2600 block of Rainbow drive, 400-500 blocks of Beverly Drive, all of Dawn Drive, Rainbow Circle, Armstrong Street and Kensington Circle.

Once the water line is repaired and water service is restored, water customers in the areas that have lost water or water pressure or who experience cloudy water or sediment are advised to vigorously boil their water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking.   Also any ice that was made  without boiling should not be used for drinking purposes.

Water customers may check the city of West Columbia website at http://www.westcolumbiasc.gov for updates on the boil water advisory.
