County reiterates flood safety tips

All Kenosha County residents, businesses and farms should report damage to the Emergency Management Flood Hotline at 262-605-7924.
Clean safely To clean up sewage backflow in your home, wear rubber boots and waterproof gloves during the process.
Keep children and pets out of the affected area until cleanup is complete.
Remove and discard drywall and insulation contaminated by sewage or flood waters.
Test your water Affected residents in flooded areas should test their well water for contamination.
Food Assistance is available through the Shalom Center, which will provide a 3-day emergency food box with perishables and non-perishables, 262-925-8755, ext.
