COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – One part of Richland County is under a boil water advisory.

The City of Columbia Water Works division is advising customers of Neptune Drive between Mars Drive and Venus Road to vigorously boil their water for one minute before drinking or cooking.

The city says the area has experienced a six-inch water main break that could result in bacterial contamination of the water. The division is currently working to fix the problem.

Anyone with any questions are asked to call the Lexington/Richland County Environmental Services at 803-896-0620.
