Parts of Lynchburg under Boil Water Advisory on Friday and Saturday

Gleaning for the World helped deliver packs of bottled water to people in affected areas Thursday evening.
"It’s warm and it’s humid…. it’s very, very hot," says Tyreeanna resident Patricia Stewart with a laugh.
Officials say the advisory is necessary in order to complete the required relocation of the existing waterline.
During this time, city water customers affected will be without water service during Friday and Saturday nights from around 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
The boil water advisory starts at 8:00 p.m. Friday night.
"And he loves his Kool-Aid!"
Parts of Pleasant Valley and Tyreeanna are under a boil water advisory, and this isn’t the first time this summer.
"A few weeks ago, we woke up and there was air in the pipes," says Stewart.
"That wasn’t fun."
A boil advisory doesn’t necessarily mean you HAVE to boil your water- bottled water works fine too- but you probably don’t want to be drinking out of your tap unless you do.
