Sesame Place closed, boil water advisory issued after Middletown Township water main break

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) – Authorities have issued a boil water advisory in Middletown Township, Bucks County after a water main break left residents and business with low water pressure.
Residents have been advised to boil their water before drinking it following the water main break on East Lincoln Highway and Woodbourne Road near the TD Bank.
The township recommends residents use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food.
Overnight, crews were able to shut down water service during repairs and some customers experienced a loss of pressure.
Among those who lost pressure was Sesame Place, which was forced to close early Thursday and remain closed Friday due to low pressure in the park.
The park has asked guests impacted by the closure to visit sesameplace.com for refund information and updates.
Crews are expected to continue making repairs on Friday, and will conduct bacteria tests once the repairs are completed.
