Boil water advisory issued in Robards area

HENDERSON, Ky. – The Henderson County Water District has fixed a water main break and has issued a boil water advisory for some customers in the Robards area.
Those affected are on Kentucky 1299 between the intersections of Busby Station Road and Kentucky 416, Cherry Hill Road, Ed Otey Road, Hunter Lane and Meahl Cates Road between Kentucky 1299 and 8053 Meahl Cates Road until further notice.
Residents are advised to boil water for 5 minutes before consuming.
There is a possibility customers may experience cloudy or discolored water.
If your water is discolored, please open several cold water faucets until the water runs clear before using.
This should typically take only a few minutes.

Spickard placed under boil advisory

The community of Spickard has been placed on a precautionary boil water advisory until further notice.
Larry Marrs, on behalf of the town of Spickard, reports chlorine levels in the water are lower than what they should be prompting the boil advisory that was issued Monday to the water customers.

Union Williams PSD issues Boil Water Advisory for some customers on Carpenter’s Run Road

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Union Williams PSD has issued a Boil Water Advisory until further notice for water customers on 2023 to 2395 Carpenter’s Run Road in Wood County.
Union Williams PSD says crews have repaired a water leak on Carpenter’s Run Road and are testing the water in that area to make sure it’s safe from possible contaminants.

Boil Water Advisory In Effect In Holly

HOLLY, Mich. (WWJ) — A "Boil Water Advisory" has been issued for the Village of Holly in northern Oakland County after issues with a water main.
Authorities say the advisory was sent out as a precaution for any customers using the village’s water system — including those outside the village limits that are attached to the system.
More than 6,000 people are affected by the advisory, according to village officials.
The advisory was spurred by a broken valve that needs replacement on a water main along the North Saginaw Street corridor.
Authorities say the alert, sent out Monday afternoon, will last for at least 48 hours.
During an advisory, water should be boiled before drinking, preparing food, and hygienic activities.
Boiling the water helps to kill any potentially harmful bacteria, viruses and parasites.
Freezing will not disinfect the water.

Boil Water Advisory issued for Marion County

Pleasant Valley, W.Va. – The City of Fairmont has issued a boil water advisory for some areas in Marion County.
The boil water advisory is in effect for the area around Ruskin Drive and Pleasant Valley Road until further notice.
The purpose for this advisory is to repair a water main line.
If you are experiencing low water pressure, a loss of water, or discoloration of water, make sure to boil it before use.

DEEP RUN, N.C. (WITN)- A boil water advisory has been issued for residents in the Lenoir County town of Deep Run.
Jamie Cannon with Deep Run Water says that the advisory is being issued due to a loss of pressure from a water main break due to Florence flooding.
There was no estimated time of repair given.

Officials issue a boil water advisory for Jefferson County Rural Water District No.10

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Kan. (KSNT) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is issuing a boil water advisory for Jefferson County Rural Water District No.
10 in Jefferson County as of Sunday morning.
Officials say customers should follow these precautions until further notice: Boil water for one minute prior to drinking or food preparation or use bottled water Dispose of ice cubes and do not use ice from a household automatic ice maker Disinfect dishes and other food contact surfaces by soaking for at least on minute in clean tap water that contains one teaspoon of unscented household bleach per gallon of water Water used for bathing does not generally need to be boiled, however watching children is necessary while bathing so they do not drink any of the water.
People with cuts or severe rashes may want talk to their doctor The advisory started Sunday morning and will remain in effect until the conditions that caused the system to be at risk of bacterial contamination are resolved.
KDHE officials say a line break causing a loss of pressure in the system is the reason for the boil advisory.
Not having adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.

Brunswick County Public Utilities issues boil water advisory for large swath of system

Customers of Brunswick County Public Utilities in all of Boiling Spring Lakes, all of St. James, all of Southport, all of Caswell Beach, along George II Highway area and along all of the Long Beach Road need to boil all water for human consumption until further notice.
The utility said main line breaks and flooding from Hurricane Florence was causing a low-pressure in these areas, potentially leading to back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Customers should boil all water that will be consumed, including for making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food.
Boiling the water vigorously for one to two minute should kill any bacteria that might have contaminated it.
