Boil water advisory issued for some in Raceland, Ky.
RACELAND, Ky. (WSAZ) — A boil water advisory has been issued for some Raceland residents, according to a news release from the city.
It is affecting residents in the Dillow Avenue subdivision.
People in that are are urged to boil any water used for drinking, cooking, oral hygiene, bathing and watering pets.
The advisory is in effect until further notice.

AMBRIDGE — A boil water advisory that affected thousands of customers since Monday has been lifted.
Michael Dominick, general manager of the Ambridge Water Authority, confirmed that the boil water advisory was lifted by the Department of Environmental Protection at noon on Thursday.
The advisory was put in place Monday morning after an incident that occurred early Sunday morning when an operator at the water plant noticed a large crack in a pipe near the plant.
The crack caused water pressure to fluctuate throughout the water authority’s system, and some neighborhoods in higher elevations lost water completely.
The Ambridge Area School District was affected and classes had to be canceled Monday at Highland Elementary School.
The elementary school reopened Tuesday, but students there and in the high school were restricted from drinking the water during the boil water advisory.
Creekside Springs, a Pulaski Township business that bottles, packages and labels water bottles, donated “countless” pallets of water for use by residents, and the fire departments in all three communities personally delivered water to those who needed it.
“So many people helped out,” he said.
“I want to thank the community as a whole for being understanding, and the fire department for handing out water and doing everything that was asked of them, and more.” He added that everyone “came together to solve this problem as best we could.” Finally, Dominick said the crack in the pipe has been fixed and “everything is good” in the Ambridge Water Authority’s system.

Boil water advisory for parts of Estill County
ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Some customers in Estill County are under a boil water advisory.
The Estill County Water District says the boil water advisory is for customers in the following areas: Eck Hollow Road to Red Lick Road, Sawmill Rd, Sang Branch, Horn’s River Road, Logsdon Branch, Deer Lick, McSwain Branch.
Water customers in those areas being told to boil their water until further notice.

Boil-water advisory issued for Maniwaki, Que.
A boil-water advisory has been issued for Maniwaki, Que., after a watermain broke early Sunday morning.
Water in the west Quebec municipality was temporarily shut off overnight until around 6 a.m., when the public works department turned it back on.
A water quality analysis is currently underway.
Maniwaki Mayor Francis Fortin told Radio-Canada cold temperatures may have caused the watermain to burst.
She urged the town’s 3,000 residents to boil their water for at least 15 minutes before consuming it.
"As soon as the notice is lifted, it will be announced in social media and on the radio," Fortin told Radio-Canada in a French-language interview.
According to Environment Canada, the temperature dropped overnight in Maniwaki to –23 C.
St. Landry Parish boil water advisory issued
Due to equipment failure at the water plant, customers of St. Landry Parish Waterworks District No.
2 (Rural) are under a boil advisory.

Authorities say water samples will be collected Monday and results should be received by Tuesday.
During a boil water advisory, it is recommended that customers boil for three minutes any tap water they intend to use for consumption, such as for drinking, cooking or making ice.
After boiling water, customers should let the water cool before consuming it.
Pets are not excluded from the advisory and should be given safe drinking water.
Water advisory in place for Bentley
Alberta Health Services (AHS) has issued a boil water advisory for the Town of Bentley.
The notice was issued as of 4 p.m. on March 13.
AHS says the advisory is a “precautionary measure.” “This advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure until the safety of the water can be assured,” a statement from AHS reads.
The advisory is in place until further notice, according to both the Town of Bentley and AHS.
During a boil water notice, residents in the effected area are asked to ensure water comes to a rolling boil, and allowed to boil for at least one minute before use.
This should be done before any domestic use.
Domestic use would include drinking, making infant formula and juices, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.

A representative from Fayette Township Water told News 10 residents in New Goshen are under a boil order until further notice.

The Kentucky Division of Water has lifted the boil-water advisory for Hardin County Water District No.
2 customers who were affected by the water outage Monday.
More than 2,000 residential and business customers were under the precautionary advisory issue after a main break disrupted service.
For customers under the advisory, Hardin County Water District No.
2 recommends the following precautionary measures in sequence: Thoroughly flush your plumbing.
Run cold water only from a bathtub or outside faucet for five minutes.
Flush the kitchen and bath faucets for three minutes using the cold water line.
Flush the chilled water line on refrigerators for three minutes.
Discard two cycles of ice from automatic ice machines.
