BARBOUR COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) — The Chestnut Ridge Public Service District in Barbour County will be replacing a major water valve on Route 38 on Tuesday.
Work will begin at around 8:00 a.m. Officials say customers in the area of Route 38, Nestorville, Moatsville, Hiram, Claude, Route 92 North and South and surrounding areas will experience water service interruptions for most of the day.
A precautionary boil water advisory will also go into effect for the affected areas until further notice.

KALAMAZOO, MI — A precautionary boil water advisory is being issued for municipal drinking water customers living in the Kendall Avenue area.
The city of Kalamazoo’s Department of Public Services scheduled a water infrastructure repair for 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5.
All water intended for drinking within the surrounding area should be boiled due to a temporary pressure loss that will occur during the repair.
The advisory is precautionary.
There have not been any confirmed tests showing bacteria present in the water main at the location of the break.
According to the city, the affected area is between the northern boundary of Santos Street and southern boundary of Howard Street, both sides of street.
Initial sampling results will be available within 24 hours and the final set within 48 hours, according to a press release.
The city expects the advisory will be lifted within 72 hours.

WAVERLY, N.Y. (18 NEWS) – Waverly Police said the boil water advisory for the village will remain into effect until Tuesday.
The advisory only impacts residents who live on Clinton Street from Lincoln Street to Waverly Street.
They said a sample will be sent to the lab for testing on Monday, and results are typically received in 24 hours.

The boil water advisory has been lifted for the East Bank of Jefferson Parish, and residents can resume consuming and using water as they normally would.
The parish had been under a boil water advisory since Thursday, after water pressure fell to levels that potentially could allow bacteria into the water lines.
Tests came back negative Saturday morning, according to a news release.
New Orleans East Bank lifted their boil advisory on Friday evening, New Orleans East, however, remains under the order.
Jefferson Parish has successfully repaired 115 water main breaks as of Saturday, according to a release.
The lifting of the Jefferson Parish boil water advisory means operations have returned to normal at Louis Armstrong International Airport, according to airport officials.

Around suppertime on Jan. 24, people in the Snow Lake became aware of the problem through shared posts on a Facebook community bulletin board.
Ordinarily, when an underground water line breaks or leaks, water surfaces in a ditch or on the roadway giving workers some indication of where to dig.
Snow Lake’s town foreman Andrew Smith advised in a further posting that the water main along the street in front of the school was installed directly over top the sewer main.
Due to depressurization of the waterline, a boil water advisory was issued by the province on the morning of Jan. 25.
Following this, traffic was rerouted and town employees, supplemented by several contract workers, began the arduous task of locating and fixing the break.
“We located the break late Saturday morning (Jan. 27) and made the necessary repairs within a few hours.” Cleanup lasted into Saturday evening, with the affected streets reopening to traffic by 8 p.m. that night.
By employing a temporary shunt between fire hydrants during the dig, workers were able to supply water at limited pressure to the Brentwood subdivision; certainly this helped prevent freezing of residential lines in the -30 Celsius temperatures.
Workers no sooner had the hoses rolled up, their equipment put away, and their feet up when they received another call to the community’s Sunset Bay Subdivision.
The vicinity of the leak had been located by Monday afternoon, but the leak had yet to be pinpointed.
The boil water advisory remains in effect until testing proves it potable.
