Little Hocking officials issue boil advisory
A boil advisory is in effect for Little Hocking Water customers located: along and adjacent to St. Andrews Boulevard from its intersection with County Road 85 and customers located on Ross Road, including Oakmont Drive, Cherry Hills Drive and Quail Hollow Street.
All water used for drinking, food preparation or dish washing should be boiled for a minimum of three minutes prior to use.
Boiling of water should continue until further notice.
Little Hocking Water personnel will be collecting water samples.
The results of the sample testing will determine when the advisory is to be lifted.
Boil water advisory issued in Prudence Island Water District
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Prudence Island Water District issued a boil water advisory after E. coli bacteria was found in a water sample from the storage tank, according to a state Department of Health statement Sunday afternoon.
More samples were slated to be taken and tested on Monday, the statement continued.
The district did not immediately return a voice message Wednesday morning seeking comment about those samples.
As many as 700 residents could be affected by the advisory, though it does not pertain to residents with private wells or members of the Prudence Park Water Co-op, according to the statement.
The district recommended that customers boil all water for consumption for at least one minute.
Infants and young children should not be bathed in the water because they might swallow it.
The presence of E. coli bacteria means it might be contaminated with human or animal waste.

Boil water advisory still in effect in Ware, could be lifted within days
Video WARE, Mass.
(WWLP) – Ware residents are going on their 5th day of having to boil water but the advisory could be lifted as early as Thursday.
Although the town is still urging all residents to boil their water, the advisory could be lifted as early as Thursday, after test results come back.
Ware Town Manager Stuart Beckley told 22News, "Those will be back by tomorrow, which is Thursday, and if they come back negative, then the DEP will tell us how to proceed from there."
Schools in town are also taking precautionary measures.
Residents are urged to boil the water for at least a minute.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, food preparation, and brushing teeth.
I haven’t noticed any difference in that.
Many businesses, like Dunkin Donuts have had to close in Ware, due to the advisory.

UPDATED: Boil water advisory continues for south Stafford
Stafford utilities is currently flushing lines in the area where a boil-water advisory is in place due to a water main break.
After the flushing is completed, residents are asked to run their water for five minutes to flush out any remaining discolored water.
Stafford officials the issued a boil-water alert following complications from a water main break in the southern portion of the county.
The move was "out of an abundance of caution," county officials said in the alert issued early Wednesday morning.
Residents in the following areas are "strongly advised" to boil water: south of Eskimo Hill Road; east of Interstate 95 and in the Mountain View Road and Ramoth Church Road areas.
Residents may visit Stafford’s website at www.staffordcountyva.gov to determine if their address falls in the affected area.
Stafford utilities follows Virginia Department of Health protocols in testing the water in the affected area, as well as the rest of the county.
Officials expect the boil water alert to be in effect for two to three days.
Residents are strongly advised to boil water or use bottled water for consumption.
Water used for washing clothes or non-consumption is acceptable.
Boil Water Advisory: Fairmont
FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WDTV) — A boil water advisory has been issued for Fourth Street to Field Street, View Ave., Mccoy Street, Emerson Street, and the surrounding area until further notice.
Residents are advised to bring all water to boil, let it boil for at least one minute, and let it cool before use; or use bottled water.
Officials say the advisory is due to a main water line repair.

GIRARD, Ohio – A boil alert has been issued for some residents in the city of Girard has been lifted.
The advisory was issued Saturday for residents that live between 500 Forsythe Avenue and 662 Forsythe Avenue following a water line break.
City officials lifted the advisory Monday morning.

Boil Water Notice For Keego Harbor Lifted
KEEGO HARBOR (WWJ) – A Boil Water Notice being canceled by authorities in one Oakland County community.
The precautionary alert was issued Friday in Keego Harbor — after a water pressure drop was discovered.
Residents were told to drink bottled water or boil tap water for at least one minute before drinking.
The advisory lasted longer than the original six-hour estimate.
The precautionary boil water notice issued to Keego Harbor began on Friday, September 28.
Boil water advisory issued for Aflex area
From staff and wire reports AFLEX, Ky. – The Williamson Water Department issued a boil water advisory for the Aflex, Kentucky, area on Friday.
The area includes from the "Aflex church to 1865 State Highway on Rt.
292 East," according to a statement released by Zachary Maynard, project manager for Veolia in Williamson.
The boil water advisory is because of a line break.
Residents in that area should boil their water for three days or until further notice.

Boil water advisory lifted for New Hartford and Utica.
UPDATE- The Mohawk Valley Water Authority has confirmed the boil water advisory for Utica and New Hartford has been lifted.
Crews fixed the break on Saturday afternoon.

Customers are also advised against using cloudy or discolored water – especially hot water – because it may require you to flush your hot water tank once clear water becomes available.
Customers should also avoid washing clothes in discolored water, because it could permanently stain your laundry.
Power outage at water plant leads to boil advisories near Oakdale Park, Wildwood Park
The loss of power at the Collins Park Water Treatment Plant pump station has led the city to issue a boil advisory for two areas.
City spokesman Ignazio Messina said in a statement Friday that the pump station lost power for “less than one minute,” when backup generators restored power.
The possible drop in water pressure has prompted the city to issue boil advisories until 5 p.m. Saturday as a precaution.
The two areas affected by the boil advisories are not contiguous, with one in East Toledo around Oakdale Park and the other in West Toledo surrounding Wildwood Park.
The West Toledo area’s boundaries are Central Avenue, Corey Road, Holland-Sylvania Road, and Sylvania Avenue.
The East Toledo area’s boundaries are Oak Street, Florence Road, East Broadway Street, and the railroad tracks.
