Boil advisory lifted in Exeter

It is once again safe to drink the water in Exeter, city leaders say.
A boil water advisory was lifted Sunday.
Families had been told to boil their water Thursday for drinking water and cooking purposes, after a water main on Kaweah had broken.
Crews had tried to repair the leak, but were unable to and the water pressure lowered.
Water was shut off from Friday night to Saturday morning to repair a major leak.

Ankeny water main break located; most of the city’s boil order canceled

Joe Kristan/Special to the Register, Des Moines Register The city of Ankeny experienced a major water main break overnight Saturday that led to a city-wide boil order for a short time.
The water main break was located on the south side of Northwest 18th Street, west of Ankeny Boulevard, the city said.
At about 10 p.m. Saturday, Tim and Jami Strazzo watched the water slowly trickle up from their drains in their newly-finished basement on NW Lakeside Drive, just off of NW 18th Street in Ankeny.

To be clear, you must boil your water before using it to: Wash fruits and vegetables Can’t boil your water?
According to the CDC, you also can disinfect your water if boiling it is not an option.
You also must sanitize your containers properly before storing the safe water.
What about bathing and showering?
Other tips: Keep a good stock of bottled water handy in case of a boil water advisory.
Serve your pets bottled water or boiled water that has been cooled.

Boil advisory in Gibsland

(GIBSLAND, LA) – The water Department in the town of Gibsland in Bienville Parish has issued a boil advisory until further notice because of broken water main.
There is no word on when the advisory will be lifted but the water can not be tested until Monday at the earliest.

Water boil advisory on Clinton Court

Due to repair work on a water main on Clinton Court, the Findlay Water Department has issued a water boil advisory for four addresses on that street: 408, 434, 444 and 446 Clinton Court.

The water main break is on the south side of Northwest 18th Street west of Ankeny Boulevard, the city said.
Those living near the break have their water shut off, and they remain under a boil order, the city said.
Tips during boil advisories: To prevent contamination, you must boil all tap water you use inside your home.
Heat the water on a stove (or another heat source) until bubbles come from the bottom to the top of the pot.
You also must sanitize your containers properly before storing the safe water.
Make sure you don’t swallow any water when bathing or showering.
Consider a sponge bath to reduce the chance of them swallowing water, according to the CDC.
(Especially since bottled water will fly off store shelves during water emergencies) Brush your teeth with boiled or bottled water only.
Serve your pets bottled water or boiled water that has been cooled.

UPDATE: Boil advisory lifted in Bossier City

Bossier City – UPDATE: The City of Bossier City has lifted the boil advisory previously issued for residents and businesses along John Wesley Boulevard between Old Minden Road and Loreco Street.
This advisory was a precautionary measure and recommended those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until.
Again the advisory was a precautionary measure and not a boil order.
The City of Bossier City has issued a boil advisory for a small area of Bossier City.
Complications with water main maintenance efforts within this area required a valve down to complete the work.
Repairs began at approximately 1:00 pm this afternoon and are expected to be cocomplete by 6:00 pm.
Customers will experience low water pressures during this time period.
This advisory is a precautionary measure and recommends those in the affected area to boil their water for one minute before consuming it until the advisory is rescinded.
The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption.
Again the advisory is a precautionary measure and not a boil order.

Boil advisory issued for customers in Public Water Supply District 1

Grundy County Public Water Supply District Number 1 has issued a precautionary boil advisory, which will continue until further notice, due to the Rural Water tower at Spickard being drained.
The boundaries for the advisory are north to the Mercer/Grundy County line, south to Highway 6, east to the Sullivan/Grundy County line, and west to the Thompson River.
Water District Clerk Anita Osborn says the draining of the water tower at Spickard may also cause low pressure to customers in the area beginning Thursday afternoon through early Saturday morning.
The same company working on the Trenton water towers is doing the work for the Rural Water District since the company is already in the area.

City of Huron sends out boil water notice after water tests positive for E. Coli

HURON, Calif. (FOX26 NEWS) — The City of Huron is now telling residents to boil their water after after a water system sample tested positive for E. Coli bacteria.
The City says it is actively trying to address this problem and will inform the public when tests come back negative and you no longer have to boil your water.
Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
They may pose a special health risk for infants, young children, some of the elderly, and people with severely compromised immune systems.
The symptoms above are not caused only by organisms in drinking water.
If you experience any of these symptoms and they persist, you may want to seek medical advice.
These people should seek advice about drinking water from their health care providers.

Boil Advisory in effect for Timber Hills subdivision

Johnson County Public Water Supply District 1 has a issued a boil order in effect for the Timber Hills neighborhood.
Johnson County Emergency Management Agency states it would like to reiterate the importance of citizens to sign up for Rave, as they can get free weather alerts specific to Johnson County through the system JOCEMA also states it commends the cooperation that occurred between the City of Warrensburg Emergency Management Agency, Warrensburg Fire & Rescue, Johnson County Fire Protection District #2, Johnson County Central Dispatch E-911 and Johnson County Amateur Radio Emergency Service.
During the incident, Johnson County Amateur Radio Emergency Service volunteers were storm spotting and were able to give real-time updates as the storm progressed throughout Johnson County, along with direct communications between Johnson County EMA and JCCD E-911 on weather related incidents/events.

UPDATE: Boil advisory lifted for Caddo Parish community

SHREVEPORT, La.
– UPDATE: You no longer need to boil your water if you live in the southern part of Caddo Parish.
Officials with the Lake Shreve Estates Water System announced Monday that the boil advisory has been lifted for residents after water samples came back negative for contamination.
You will need to boil your water if you live in the southern part of Caddo Parish.
On Thursday officials with the Lake Shreve Estates Water System off Mayo Rd.
in Shreveport issued a boil advisory for residents due to repairs.
You are advised to boil your water for at least one minute before eating, drinking, making ice or brushing your teeth.
The boil advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
