Rayne boil advisory rescinded

RAYNE, La.
– The City of Rayne Water Department has restored pressure within the water supply system above the minimum required level.
Water samples collected by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals – Office of Public Health have been negative for coliform bacteria.
Therefore the boil advisory for the areas of East Butler, Bull, Bernhard, and Cunningham between South Adams St. and South Cunningham St. released as a precautionary measure is now rescinded.
The water is safe for consumption.

City of Ozark issues boil advisory for small neighborhood

OZARK, Mo.
— The city of Ozark has fixed a water main break that is impacting a small neighborhood.
The city ordered a boil water order advisory for homes in the area of 1100 East Melanie Lane.
That is off of Highway 14 and Highway 65.
Those homes have been notified.
The boil order only impacts 16 homes.
The city’s public works expects boil order to last about 24 hours.

Boil water advisory lifted for Edison, Fords

A boil water advisory has been lifted for sections of Edison and Fords that were impacted by a water main break.
Middlesex Water Company issued the advisory Tuesday evening to residents in the Clara Barton section of Edison and the Fords section of Woodbridge after a 48-inch water main broke near the intersection of Glenville Road and the Boulevard of the Eagles in Edison.
The Boil Water Advisory issued yesterday 2/20 for residents in the Clara Barton section of Edison and the Fords section of Woodbridge, NJ has been LIFTED.
It is no longer necessary to boil your water before using.

Residents should also empty and clean out automatic ice makers and water chillers, as well as empty their hot water heaters if the temperature is set below 113 degrees.
The water company said updates will be posted on its website and on its Facebook page and on Twitter.

Water restored to nearly all residents around Jellico, boil advisory continues

The utility group said the boil advisory will continue until further notice, and it is still working to get water restored to remaining customers outside the city limits in the Elk Valley community.
Once water is fully restored to all customers, it said it will flush the lines to get rid of any sediment and it will lift the boil advisory after.
UPDATE (February 18 at 7:45 p.m.) Joe Carroll with the Jellico Electric and Water System says water has been restored to about 1,200 of the 1,700 customers in the city of Jellico Sunday evening.
The one last tank at the Jellico Electric and Water System is still being filled and will be the last to provide water to the rest of its service area.
Employees with Jellico Electric and Water System have been working around the clock to help restore water to all customers.
Carroll says crews from the electric companies and other utilities assisted the employees, working more than 18, with breaks.
Water should be restored to residents in the next two to three hours as the three other tanks get filled with water.
General Manager of Jellico Electric and Water System Joe Carroll expects the boil advisory to be lifted on Monday morning.
The Jellico Electric and Water System says customers are currently without drinkable water and a boil advisory is in place.
Muncy said the county is hopeful to have the water system itself working in the next six hours.

Boil water advisory for Oakhurst Ave. in Kzoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A boil water advisory was issued for a Kalamazoo neighborhood Sunday following a water main break.
The affected area includes both sides of Oakhurst Avenue between S. Westnedge Avenue and S. Rose Street, including Oakhurst and Kingwood Court apartments, the southwest corner of Westnedge and Oakhurst, the southeast corner of Rose and Oakhurst, and the northeast corner of Rose and Evelyn Avenue.
Everyone in the affected area should boil their water for two minutes before consuming it.
The water main break on Oakhurst between Westnedge and Rose.
It caused a drop in pressure, which can allow bacteria to enter the water system.
The boil water advisory is precautionary.
No bacteria had actually been found in the system as of Sunday afternoon.
Test results to confirm the water’s safety should be back within the next couple of days.
The city expects to lift the advisory by Wednesday at the latest.

Jellico residents still without water, boil advisory in place until Monday morning

Water should be restored to residents in the next two to three hours as the three other tanks get filled with water.

With the boil advisory in place, customers are advised to bring their water to a boil, then let it cool for at least one minute before drinking.
General Manager Joe Carroll says it’s a slow process but the situation is progressing.
All of the water currently meets state regulations.
The Jellico Electric and Water System says customers are currently without drinkable water and a boil advisory is in place.
Jellico Electric and Water System then issued a boil advisory to customers through TV and radio outlets.
"I’d like to apologize to our customers," Carroll said.
The boil advisory will still be in effect, with hopes of being lifted Monday.
Muncy said the county is hopeful to have the water system itself working in the next six hours.

Boil water advisory issued on Kalamazoo’s south side

KALAMAZOO, MI – A precautionary advisory is being issued for municipal drinking water customers living on Oakhurst Avenue near South Westnedge Avenue.
The city of Kalamazoo’s Department of Public Services repaired a water main break on Oakhurst Avenue between South Westnedge Avenue and South Rose Street Sunday.
In a press release, the city identified the following affected area includes: Oakhurst Avenue – Between the western boundary of S. Westnedge S. Avenue to the eastern boundary of S. Rose Street, both sides of street, and includes the Oakhurst Apartments/Kingwood Court Apartments.
S. Westnedge Avenue – The southeast corner of S. Westnedge Avenue and Oakhurst Avenue, and Mount Ever Rest Cemetery.
S. Rose Street – The southeast corner of S. Rose Street and Oakhurst Avenue, and the northeast corner of S. Rose Street and Evelyn Avenue.
This advisory is precautionary.
Initial sampling results will be available within 24 hours and the final set within 48 hours, according to the department.
The city expects the advisory will be lifted within 72 hours.
A Boil Water Advisory warns residents their drinking water may be contaminated.
When a break occurs in a water main, or a complete loss of pressure in a significant part of the water system, there is the possibility for contaminants to enter into the water main while the repair is being completed.

Beachside boil water notice lifted

Melbourne utility officials announced Wednesday the end of the precautionary boil water advisory for Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach and other beachside communities.
The notice was issued Sunday after the water main break near Burns Boulevard and Bay Drive.
The area for the boil notice extended from Wallace Avenue and the Pineda Causeway.
Two days of sample tests showed the water is safe to drink.

Boil water advisory issued for section of Oriskany

ORISKANY – A boil water advisory has been issued for a section of Oriskany following a water main break.
Mohawk Valley Water Authority officials say maintenance crews have repaired a water main break near Utica Street and Ridge Road in the village of Oriskany, and now a boil water advisory is in effect for that area.
Customers on the following streets are under a boil water advisory: – Utica Street (between Hillside Drive and Ridge Road) – Ridge Road – Hillside Drive – Sunray Terrace – Husted Drive – Ceral Lane – Spillway Drive The boil water advisory will be in effect for at least 48 hours, or until tests show the water is free from contamination, according to MVWA officials.
Affected customers are advised to boil their water for at least two minutes before using it for drinking or cooking.
They’re also advised against using cloudy or discolored water, especially hot water.
Customers should also avoid washing their clothes because they could become permanently stained.

Boil water advisory for parts of Amsterdam

Rosanne Rusnica in the City Engineer’s office said the water break occurred Sunday night and the water was back on by Monday.
Rusnica said they may be able to lift the boil water advisory by today.
“The New York State Department of Health requires us to test the water so many times,” she said.
“They have regulations we have to follow.” She said they have to notify the health department when an issue like a water break and the boil water advisory occurs.
If the test is good then the boil water advisory will be lifted.
She said a notice will be sent out when the boil water advisory is lifted.
Rusnica said the water break was due to an old pipe.
“Old pipes have a tendency to break,” Rusnica said.
