Boil water notice issued for Bradenton neighboorhood
BRADENTON, FL (WWSB) – A boil water advisory is now in effect for customers along 53rd Avenue East in Bradenton.
The advisory comes as a result of a Saturday water main break in the area, affecting customers on 53rd Avenue between 68th Street East and 71st Street East.
The Manatee County Utilities Department says all water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled as a precaution.
This notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey has shown the water to be safe, normally 24-48 hours.
Officials say a Rolling Boil of one minute is sufficient and as an alternative, bottled water may be used.
If residents have any questions they may call 941-792-8811 ext: 5268 or 5216 between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
