Water outage scheduled for Laplace due to main water line break

LAPLACE, LA (WVUE) – The St. John the Baptist Parish Utilities Department said Wednesday (Feb. 27) that it will shut off water pressure to customers in Laplace beginning at 10 p.m. while repairs are made to a main water line that was ruptured by a private contractor, according to a St. John Parish news release.
As a precaution, the water system, in coordination with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, is issuing a boil water advisory after water pressure is restored.
This advisory will remain in effect until the water is declared safe for consumption after testing by the Louisiana DHH .
