Valley Public Service Authority issuing Boil Water Advisory beginning Tuesday.
AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) — Some customers of Valley Public Service Authority Water System will be on a boil water advisory beginning Tuesday.
According to the system, residents living on the following roads will have to boil their water: – Pinegrove Road – Old Chavous Road – Bailey Drive – Sapp Drive – Divine Drive – Pepper Branch Road – Scottsville Road – C.C.
Camp Road – Storm Court – Portions of Storm Branch Road The service will be interrupted for repairs on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Once restored, the affected customers will then have to boil their water.
While there is no confirmed contamination, the potential for contamination exists due to the interruption in service.
VPSA recommends that you boil water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
Also, do not use ice made from water which has not been boiled.
DHEC is currently working with the water system to fix the issue.
