COLTON – A boil-water order is still in place in Colton, but water restrictions have been lifted now that one of the city wells is back in service.
The town unexpectedly lost service in its wells Saturday.
However, Jon Dahmen, chief of Whitman County Fire District 14, said one well is back up and running.
The other should be repaired in the next few days.
Water restrictions have been lifted, Dahmen said, but the boil-water order will remain in place until testing is done to ensure the water is safe to drink.
