Water boil advisory cancelled for Oxford
The boil advisory has been cancelled, Oxford police say.
The advisory caused by a failed pipe was cancelled around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Oxford is under a water boil advisory until Tuesday night due to a failed pipe.
The city reported that a water pipe on Miami University’s campus ruptured at 5:56 p.m. on Monday.
Crews were immediately sent out to stabilize the system and restore full water pressure.

They recommend that all water being used in food and drinks be boiled for safety in accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Most Oxford restaurants and bars were closed last night because of the advisory.
The water boil advisory is scheduled to be in place until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7.
