Boil water advisory lifted in Frankenmuth
UPDATE: Just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the city of Frankenmuth announced it has lifted the boil water advisory originally issued on Friday, August 31.
“We appreciate the patience of the businesses and the community at large.
Water main breaks continue to force a boil water advisory for many residents in Frankenmuth, ruining their holiday weekend plans.
It hit us right at the beginning,” said Tony D’Anna, owner of the McDonald’s restaurant in Frankenmuth.
“We’re down a lot.
We’re down about 30 percent,” D’Anna said.
His store, along with many other businesses north of the Cass River are being affected by a boil water advisory.
D’Anna said he hopes to hear some good news from the city by the end of the day.
Meanwhile, the Frankenmuth School District plans to have school on Tuesday.
Until then, boil water for one minute before using it to cook or drink.
