Martin Co. Turns Off Water County Wide Due To Issues
MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – An issue with water pressure and line blow-outs has caused Martin Co. Water District to shut off water to the entire county.
Viewer video sent to LEX 18 shows a large water main break under a rural roadway.
The county acknowledges an issue with water pressure that caused several main lines to “blow out.” “Although the issue we were having has now been resolved, it has caused several main lines to blow out.
We have had to turn the water off to the entire county.
We do apologize for this and are working to repair the leaks.
There will be a boil water advisory for the entire county when services are restored.
We will update as soon as we can,” reads a post on the Martin County Water District page.
