Boil water advisory for part of Kalamazoo
The advisory is in effect in the areas of Egleston Avenue, Clinton Avenue and Terrace Court between Reed Court and Bank Street, and around the intersection of E. Stockbridge Avenue and Reed Court.
People within that area should boil their tap water for at least two minutes before consuming it.
You can still bathe in the water.
The water main break, which happened on Egleston Avenue, has been fixed.
Such breaks cause a drop in water pressure that can allow bacteria to enter the system, but county health officials say no bacteria had been found as of Sunday.
The results of testing to confirm the water’s safety should be back by Wednesday.
