UPDATE: Boil Water Advisory over for Willis and Horton

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory for the cities of Maple Hill in Wabaunsee County as well as Horton and Willis in Brown County.

KDHE says the boil water advisories were issued in each city because of a water line break resulting in a loss of pressure in the system. KDHE says failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.

The advisories took place Tuesday and will remain in effect until conditions are deemed resolved by KDHE.

KSNT News will continue to follow this story and will update as additional information becomes available.
