Boil Advisory in place for some living in Tensas Parish

– (5/24/2018) According to leaders at the Lake Bruin Water District #1, they are issuing a boil advisory because the system is losing water pressure.
Because of this, officials there in Tensas Parish want customers to boil their water before consumption.
This includes fountain drinks.
Below is the full press release sent to NBC 10: The Lake Bruin Water District #1 is experiencing problems with the water supply system because of the purchase system losing water pressure.
Therefore, as a precaution, the Lake Bruin Water District #1. is issuing a BOIL ADVISORY effective immediately for the customers.
This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Lake Bruin Water District #1.
It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means: Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container.
The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
Upon such notification, the Lake Bruin Water District#1 .
will then rescind the Boil Advisory and notify its customers that the water has been found to be safe.
