Boil advisory issued in Kansas town

An Atchison County, Kansas, town was placed under a boil-water advisory from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
KDHE issued a boil water advisory effective Tuesday for the city of Lancaster.
The agency advises residents to boil water for one minute prior to drinking or food preparation.
It suggests bottled water as an alternative.
KDHE advises residents with tap water that appears dirty to flush their water lines by letting the water run until it clears.
The advisory is in effect until the conditions that caused system risk for bacterial contamination are resolved.
KDHE said officials noticed a loss of water pressure.
