Boil Advisory Lifted in Gold Hill

GOLD HILL, Ore. — The water in Gold Hill is safe to drink again.

The city had to put a boil advisory in place after a water main broke earlier this week. On Saturday, the city received news the water had been tested and was safe for consumption.

All the samples tested came back negative for bacteria in the distribution system. The Oregon Health Authority has discussed these results, and it gave approval to lift the boil advisory.

The water is now safe to use for all purposes.

The city apologized for any inconvenience the boil advisory has caused.
