MONROE, La (News Release) – The Town of Harrisonburg in Catahoula Parish has issued a boil advisory.

This boil water advisory was issued due to a line break to the elevated tank (Main line) , which caused a loss of pressure. This boil water advisory is system wide.

This advisory is in effect until further notice.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

+ Boil water for (1) one full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
