Residents of Palm Aire Village West in Northwest Fort Lauderdale can expect issues with water service beginning late Thursday night and are advised to boil water through the weekend, city officials said.

Water-line maintenance will be underway at 10 p.m. and may cause low pressure or interruption in service. Crews are expected to finish the overnight project by 5 a.m. Friday, said Matt Little, a city spokesman.

After the work is complete, a precautionary boil water notice will be in effect for at least two days, Little said. “The city will notify the affected properties when it is lifted,” he said.

Homes located within the following boundaries will be affected: south of West McNab Road and north of Cypress Creek Road and east of Cove Lake Road and west of Northwest 31st Avenue.

Residents should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes. A one-minute rolling boil is advised.
