FAIRMONT, W.Va. – UPDATE (3/1/18 1:30 p.m.): The advisory for Tenth Street and surrounding area has been lifted.
_____________ ORIGINAL (2/27/18 2:54 p.m.): The city of Fairmont’s water department is repairing a main water line on Tenth Street, which is affecting the surrounding area.
The city has issued a boil water advisory for the area.
Samples will be collected for bacteriological testing, and results will be determined in 24 hours.
Citizens can contact the water treatment plant at 304-366-1461 on February 28 after 4 p.m. to determine if the boil water advisory has been lifted.
