ILION – A boil water advisory is in effect for a section of Ilion while a water valve is being replaced, according to a notice from Mayor Brian Lamica sent out by the Ilion Police Department.
Construction will begin Wednesday on a small bridge on Elizabethtown Road in the southern area of Ilion.
During construction, a water valve near the bridge will be replaced.
Lamica says residents of south Ilion along Elizabethtown and Spinnerville Gulf roads will be under a boil water advisory from Wednesday morning until further notice.
The advisory is expected to last only until Friday, pending water testing.
The construction and valve replacement will not affect the rest of the water system, according to Lamica.
