Boil-water advisory issued

The South East Kelowna Irrigation District has issued a boil-water warning for all customers.
The advisory is due to a malfunction in the disinfection system at Hydraulic Creek, after heavy snow Tuesday night caused a power outage.
The O’Reilly Road well is also affected, and residents who use its water should also heed the advisory.
All affected residents should boil any water used for drinking, brushing teeth or washing food.
Owners of public facilities are required to post notices by public sinks and fountains.
The South East Kelowna District Irrigation District has not indicated when they expect the advisory to end.
They are flushing the system and will lift the notice when samples indicate the water is safe.
