COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)- The City of Columbia Water Works has issued a boil water advisory for The Petan Apartments in Richland County.
The City of Columbia has experienced a six-inch water main break that could possibly result in the bacterial contamination of water on Beatty Road at the Petan Apartments.
Water customers are advised to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking.
The City is currently working to correct the problem, anyone with any questions is asked to call customer care at 803-545-3300.
