Boil Water Advisory Issued For Granisle

by John Crawford, originally posted on June 7, 2016

Granisle residents are being advised to boil municipal drinking water, while the village carries out water-main repairs.

A break in the system was discovered over the weekend.

A water truck went door-to-door through the community yesterday (Monday), bringing safe, potable water to local residents — with a 10-gallon limit per household.

The village expects to have repairs completed today (Tuesday) — but the boil-water advisory has been issued as a precaution — and will be in effect until 6am Thursday.

Residents should boil water for at least two minutes, prior to drinking it or using for cooking, preparing baby food, brushing teeth or any other consumption.
