MATOAKA — A boil water advisory has been issued for the entire Matoaka Water system due to the lack of a certified operator, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Public Health.
While the advisory is in effect, consumers are advised to boil their drinking water (a full rolling boil) for at least one minute prior to drinking, using for cooking or hygienic purposes such as hand washing, bathing or tooth brushing.
The advisory is in effect until further notice, according to the press release.
