BELPRE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTAP) – The Little Hocking Water Association has issued a Boil Water Advisory for some customers in Belpre Township, effective until further notice.
The Boil Water Advisory covers water customers on the following roads in Belpre Township: Along and adjacent to State Route 339, between its intersections with Betsy Lane and Millbranch Road Betsy Lane Eyermann Road Woodlawn Avenue The Boil Water Advisory is being issued because the Little Hocking Water Association is relocating a water main along State Route 339, in conjunction with the ODOT culvert replacement project, just south of its intersection with Millbranch Road in Belpre Township.
After the relocation and connections are made and water service is restored, it is recommended, as a precaution to safeguard public health, that all water used for drinking, preparation of food, or washing of dishes and cookware be boiled for a minimum of three minutes prior to use.

Little Hocking Water Association personnel will be collecting water samples and the results of the sample testing will determine when the Boil Water Advisory will be lifted.
