Boil water advisory issued in Kenova

KENOVA, W.Va. (WSAZ) — A boil water advisory has been issued for areas of Kenova, West Virginia.

The precautionary boil water notification applies to customers located between the 1000 and 1200 blocks of Walnut Street, between the 1000 and 1200 blocks of Beech Street and any customers located near the two streets that have experienced low or absent water pressure.

According to a press release, crews were working on a water main break in the 1100 block of Beech Street.

Officials say to let the water boil for one minute and then let it cool before using it for drinking or washing.

The Kenova Municipal Water System will notify customers when there is no longer any need to boil their water prior to consumption.
