Boil water advisory issued on Carolina Road

A boil water advisory has been issued for water customers of Carolina Road according to the City of Columbia Water Works.
Water customers of Carolina Road from Greenlawn Drive to Eugene Street are advised to boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking.
Anyone who has lost water pressure should also follow those guidelines.
It is also advised to avoid ice that isn’t made with boiled water.
The City experienced a six-inch water break that could lead to bacterial contamination.
They are currently working on the issue.
Anyone with questions about this advisory should contact the city’s Customer Care Call Center at (803) 545-3300.
