The Kentucky Division of Water has lifted the boil-water advisory for Hardin County Water District No.
2 customers who were affected by the water outage Monday.
More than 2,000 residential and business customers were under the precautionary advisory issue after a main break disrupted service.
For customers under the advisory, Hardin County Water District No.
2 recommends the following precautionary measures in sequence: Thoroughly flush your plumbing.
Run cold water only from a bathtub or outside faucet for five minutes.
Flush the kitchen and bath faucets for three minutes using the cold water line.
Flush the chilled water line on refrigerators for three minutes.
Discard two cycles of ice from automatic ice machines.
