Boil water advisory lifted for Jefferson Parish as water tests come back negative

The boil water advisory has been lifted for the East Bank of Jefferson Parish, and residents can resume consuming and using water as they normally would.
The parish had been under a boil water advisory since Thursday, after water pressure fell to levels that potentially could allow bacteria into the water lines.
Tests came back negative Saturday morning, according to a news release.
New Orleans East Bank lifted their boil advisory on Friday evening, New Orleans East, however, remains under the order.
Jefferson Parish has successfully repaired 115 water main breaks as of Saturday, according to a release.
The lifting of the Jefferson Parish boil water advisory means operations have returned to normal at Louis Armstrong International Airport, according to airport officials.
