Boil water advisory posted for hundreds in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. A boil water advisory has been issued for about 400 Florida Governmental Utility Authority customers in Lehigh Acres.
The notice covers areas near a 12-inch water main break at 4101 Lee Blvd., which is just east of Gunnery Road, the utility company said.
The water main has been repaired and services have been restored, according to the FGUA.
Samples of the water were taken to a Florida Department of Health-certified laboratory and the notice will be lifted once samples show the water is safe to drink.
The FGUA expects the advisory will be lifted by Monday.
In the meantime, all water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute.
