Boil Water Issued For Part Of Broward County.
HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – Heads up Broward County residents, you might be under a boil water notice.
The city of Hollywood issued an advisory just after 2 p.m.
The city’s water treatment plant experienced a significant drop in pressure, below 20 psi.
Broward County then issued an advisory for parts of Miramar.
Residents affected are on the south from SW 25th Street and on the north by Pembroke Road, on the east by SR7 and on the west by Florida’s Turnpike.
That may be difficult to impossible to do for residents who don’t have power, gas, or a propane grill or stove.
For those who can, boil your tap water for one minute.
Only boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation.
As soon as conditions will allow, crews will work to isolate the damaged line and begin the repairs.
