The El Dorado Irrigation District has issued a boil water notice starting on Thursday, March 22, at 11 a.m. due to a water line break along Salmon Falls Road in El Dorado Hills.
The boil water notice affects approximately 80 service connections.
Affected customers have been alerted by phone and email and are advised to use bottled water or tap water that has been boiled for at least one minute and then cooled for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth and other personal hygiene uses.
Do not use ice from automatic ice makers and do not rely on commercial water filtration systems.
EID crews are working on scene but do not have an anticipated time of repair at this time.
The district asks that affected customers continue to boil water or use bottled water until they receive notification from EID stating that the boil water advisory has been lifted.
